15 Did ^anot he who made me in the womb make him?
And did not one fashion us in the womb?
16 “If I have ^bwithheld anything that the poor desired,
or have ^ccaused the eyes of the widow to fail,
17 or have eaten my morsel alone,
and the fatherless has not eaten of it
18 (for from my youth the fatherless ^{▼▼Hebrew he} grew up with me as with a father,
and from my mother’s womb I guided the widow ^{▼▼Hebrew her}),
19 if I have seen anyone ^fperish for ^glack of clothing,
or the needy without ^hcovering,
20 if his body has not ⁱblessed me, ^{▼▼Hebrew if his loins have not blessed me}
and if he was not warmed with the fleece of my sheep,
21 if I have raised my hand against ^kthe fatherless,
because I saw my help in ^lthe gate,
22 then let my shoulder blade fall from my shoulder,
and let my arm be broken from its socket.
23 For I was ^min terror of calamity from God,
and I could not have faced his ⁿmajesty.

Isaiah 58:7

7 Is it not ^oto share your bread with the hungry
and bring the homeless poor into your house;
when you see the naked, to cover him,
^pand not to hide yourself from your own flesh?

Matthew 25:35-45

35 For ^qI was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you ^rgave me drink, ^sI was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 ^tI was naked and you clothed me, ^uI was sick and you ^vvisited me, ^wI was in prison and you came to me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And ^xthe King will answer them, ^y‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these ^zmy brothers, ^{▼▼Or brothers and sisters} you did it to me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ^ab‘Depart from me, you ^accursed, into ^adthe eternal fire prepared for ^aethe devil and his angels. 42 For ^afI was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ 44 Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ 45 Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, ^agyou did not do it to me.’

Acts 9:39
